AND WELLBEING

Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing for Children and Families

We understand that at times life can be challenging for our children and families. Some of our children might be experiencing a range of difficult emotions and we would always recommend that you talk about what is happening with your child and listen to any concerns that they might have. If you feel that you would like further help with how to support your family during this time, we have put together a list of websites and contacts for you that might be useful. You are -of course- always welcome to discuss any issues that you have with your child’s class teacher or a member of our Inclusion Team: Mrs Deighton, Mrs Ashraf, Ms Plummer or Mr Farooq and they will do their best to assist you. For further information please read our Pupil Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Policy 2020-2021 click here.

Support for Children

Ollee: Welcome

Ollee is a digital friend for children aged 8-11 – created by Parent Zone and funded by BBC Children in Need’s A Million & Me initiative. It helps them explore feelings around school, family, friends and the world – and share advice with a parent or trusted adult. Children can tell Ollee how they’re feeling, and it will give them ideas about what to do. If they’re not sure, Ollee will help them figure it out. Together, parents and children can share Ollee’s advice and talk about feelings together through connected accounts.

Ollee from Parent Zone. Thank you! Your parent/guardian has been sent an email. Once they confirm, that they are happy for you to use Ollee you will be able to get started.

This website is a fabulous source of information relating to child mental health. The website has pages which can support children and young people, but also provides lots of practical advice and tips for parents on supporting their child – from how to encourage your child to open up about their feelings to dealing with mental health services. No matter what you and your child are going through, things can get better. They also run a Parents Helpline providing advice and support if you’re worried about a child or young person. We are a charity that provides information and advice to young people, and parents and carers. Take a look at our guide to support for information about how Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) work, including information on how you can get help from CAMHS, what happens at an assessment, what your rights are and more. We do not provide one-to-one support with CAMHS …

The information people provide on the form will be dealt with in the same way as any other report of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse / domestic violence online reporting form. A short online form allowing you to report domestic abuse. The form will take about five minutes to complete and allows you to state the safest method for police to get in touch with you and at a time and date that suits you.

If an incident of domestic abuse is ongoing, you should report it over the phone by dialing 999 immediately.
