ABOUT THE

NURSERY

The Academy has an 80-place Nursery, which caters for 40 pupils during the morning session and 40 pupils during the afternoon session. For session times, please visit ‘The Academy Day’ page.

Applications to the Nursery need to be made directly to the Academy. The school’s ‘Admission Form’ should be completed, and a copy is available on request. Children attend Nursery part-time and can be admitted to Nursery the day after their third birthday. Parents will be informed of the decision by the school. A child who has a place in nursery is not guaranteed a place in Reception, nor do they have any additional priority for admission to Reception at the Academy. Please visit our Admissions page for more details.

Our Nursery offers a high quality early years provision with a personalised approach. Through our fun, engaging and creative curriculum, we ensure all of the children in our care work towards successfully achieving the Early Learning Goals and are well-prepared to make the transition to primary school.

Our play-based curriculum covers the seven fundamental areas of learning identified by the Department for Education and will help all children develop key literacy, numeracy, personal and social skills, as well as a positive and proactive approach to learning.
