The Academy is part of Star Academies.
The Star Board of Members and Trustees oversees the whole organisation and is the legal Governing Body for all Star schools, but much of the work of the Board is delegated to the school Local Governing Body or, in the interim, the Academy Transition Board (see Star Scheme of Delegation).
An Academy Transition Board is currently in place. Transition Boards operate as an interim local governing body for an agreed period of time following conversion to academy status.
The Transition Board is actively involved in the life of the Academy. Its members reflect the community we serve and include staff representatives.
Kieran Larkin is the Chair of the Academy Transition Board.
All of the members of the Academy Transition Board are passionate about the Academy and are here to make sure that every young person is given the best education, opportunities and experiences possible. They each play an important role in overseeing the work of the Academy, acting as “critical friends” for the Senior Leadership Team and holding the Academy to account for performance and development.
If you want to bring any matters to the attention of the Academy Transition Board, you should address your correspondence to the Chair of the Transition Board at the Academy address.
