Bakrekend Primary Leadership Academy is after making the grade in the national Primary School Performance Tables for 2018.

The tables are based upon Key Stage 2 national curriculum assessment results (often referred to as SATs) and progress scores for pupils in subjects such as reading and maths.

Our school was placed in the top 1% of schools nationally for maths and the top 3% for reading.

Principal Ann Winter said:

“We are delighted with this year’s results and the fantastic progress our pupils are making. All staff at Barkerend are extremely proud that our 2018 Year 6 progress scores place us in the top 1% of primary schools in the country for maths and the top 3% for reading.

“We would like to acknowledge the incredible team effort that has gone into achieving not only this year’s fabulous results, but also the outstanding progress pupils have made since joining our school. It is through the dedication of Barkerend Primary Leadership Academy’s staff and support of our parents that we are now ranked the ninth best primary school in Bradford.”
